The 6 Pillars Propping the Fullness of Your Glory – Part 6

The

good news is that process is something that every one of us is exposed to. The bad news is that we are never forced to go through the process of maturity. It is a choice. Why Am I saying its bad news?

Well, it is disheartening to see people by the droves and through the generations exiting this world with a whimper, with the fullness of their glory untapped, unused and un-deployed!

Everyone’s a Candidate

What I am advocating for is not foreign. Neither is it a reserve of a few special individuals with special genes skin or whatever. The fullness of the glory of any human is available for all, none is exempt. None comes to this world for the purpose of having a mediocre existence. None.

We have been discussing the subject of the pillars that prop up the fullness of the glory of the human. The fullness of your glory is what this world is waiting for. It is why you were brought forth in the earth in the first place. Deploying it ought to be the utmost pursuit if our lives.

A Recap

Over the past several articles we have seen just what pillars you can use to prop up the fullness of your glory. Here is a quick recap.

The First Pillar

It is about uniqueness. Each person has their own unique responsibility to shine their own light on the face of the earth. Each time we dim our lights by veering off the course of the fullness of our glory, we are doing a great disservice to creation. Sadly we seldom lift our heads from the pursuits of life to realize this great omission. You can read about that here.

The Second Pillar

This is about Usefulness. This is to say that you cannot live to deploy the fullness of your glory if there is no component of your impact in society. We were not created to come and fend for ourselves. We were primarily created to be solution providers to others.

The Third Pillar

This is about our ultimate fulfilment. As we keep doing life, we shall either be fulfilled at the moment or be fulfilled at the end of our time on earth. The measure of the fullness of our glory is when we have fulfilled both ways. Fulfilment is not the same as enjoyment and comfort. Jesus on the cross is a picture of fulfilment, especially when he cries out “It is finished”.

The Fourth Pillar: Unction-The Earnestness in our hearts

The engine of every life is unction. Unction is the earnestness of the passion or the noble spiritual force that connects us to something that matters to us. You see the earnestness in many world changers. You see lots of passion on the faces of people that are living the fullness of their glory.

The Fifth Pillar:  Our Utmost Effort

All your passion and effort must coalesce into your work. This is the indisputable way that you will show forth the glory that is within you. There is no way you are putting in all your effort and coming out short of your glory. There is a small caveat though: That effort must be focused and directed. That is why if you put in effort on anything outside of what we have discussed in the previous pillars, it’s a lost cause.

In today’s article, we close this mini-series by talking about the last pillar.

The Sixth Pillar: Unleashing Unused Potential

Here is the thing. We all are filled with incredible potential. There is no human being, in fact, there is no living thing that does not have potential. When you study plants and at times animals, there is no denying the fact that they will go to the full extent of unleashing their potential.

A tree will grow to the tallest height that it possibly can, especially when it is planted in a conducive environment. It doesn’t have any reason to hold back. A lion will rise up to the fullness of his glory. There is no reason to hold back.

And then there is the human

A human being though tends to round off his life to the nearest comfort zone. In so doing, his potential remains untapped and undeployed. I think the saddest thing we see in humanity today is the fact that the crown of creation goes on appearing a pale shadow of the fullness of their glory.

Potential and Glory

There is no way that you will shine the fullness of your glory if you do not go out of your way to deploy the most of the potential that God put inside of you. If you ever saw anyone in any discipline shining bright in the fullness of their magnificence, it would be partly because they chose to deploy their fullest potential.

Potential is always in the realm of possibility. Each human being has locked within him incredible amounts of possibility. That is why some time back I wrote a series of messages on the subject of seeds. It is incredible to note that life revolves around seeds.

Seeds and Glory

Seeds of greatness are within each living human soul. That is why growth to maturity is the process through which we can reach the fullness of our glories.

Unfortunately, we tend to veer away from our potential in a bid to either:

  • Pursue comfort in life:

Each waking day, we have two choices to make. The same way Adam had a choice to make between two trees is the same way we have a choice to make between relevance and comfort. Comfort is always beckoning us. Wherever we go.

When we choose to be comfortable, we have inherently chosen not to burn the fat around our potential and unleash it. We have chosen to maintain the status quo.

However, when we decide to go after relevance, we will be forced to go through the discomfort of excavating our potential. Unfortunately, unleashing your potential is synonymous with discomfort. Mohammad Ali said that he does not start counting until it starts paining because when the pain starts it’s when it counts! Word!

  • Conform to the culture of the day

If you wanted to find out the prevalent culture of the day, you will have to look at the aspirations of the people. The most aspiring of us are those who have come out of school, after “Finishing school”.
Ask them, “What are you up to now?” Their answer will give you a dip stick of the culture of the day. The culture of the day dictates how people live and loosely defines why they do live. The unfortunate thing is that the culture of the day seldom does talk about deploying the fullness of your glory.

The culture of the day epitomizes the fullness of the glory of the human as some extra-ordinary thing that happens only for a few chosen individuals. The truth of the matter though is that the fullness of our glory ought to be the most prevalent thing that we are pursuing daily.

Anything short of that means that we are short-changing ourselves. Therefore, let us start looking at cultivating all the potential that is inside of us so that we can deploy it to the fullest.

  • Acknowledge that there is potential inside of you
  • Focus your energies on clarifying what exactly it is
  • Create a “field of purpose” with the myriads of things that you possibly can do
  • Create a timetable of how you can cultivate the “field of purpose” in your life, whether you are paid directly and immediately from it or not
  • Find a way of using your potential in any assignment that you are doing, gravitating towards what comes to you naturally
  • Make a decision to be the absolute best with what you are doing
  • Make a decision to be always consistent in deploying your potential
