me ask you a question. What, in your opinion, ought to occupy the centre stage in life? I might not need to qualify that question. In fact, if I let that question unqualified and solicited answers from people, it would be interesting to note what will come out. Will the answer direct us in any way towards the fullness of the glory of the human?
Of course, I would rather that what occupies the centre stage of life would be matters related to the fullness of the glory of the human. For that to happen though, we need to be on the same page as far as that is concerned.
What exactly does it mean to have the fullness of the glory of the human? In my simple definition, it is simply coming alive to the expectation of the Creator. No creator of anything brings forth something not expecting it to perform to its ultimate peak at all times.
When it comes to the human being, it does not change in any way. If anything, we are much more complex, much more valuable than any precious mineral or metal on earth. That is why we have to shine the fullness of our glory in our existence.
No creator of anything brings forth something not expecting it to perform to its ultimate peak at all times. ~ Lawrence Namale #Purpose, #Productivity Share on XThere can be no reason for existence other than to appear with the fullness of our magnificence, grandeur and brilliance as intended by the creator. That is why we have been discussing what I consider some of the pillars of the fullness of our glory. Let’s do a small recap:
It is about uniqueness. Each person has their own unique responsibility to shine their own light on the face of the earth. Each time we dim our lights by veering off the course of the fullness of our glory, we are doing a great disservice to creation. Sadly we seldom lift our heads from the pursuits of life to realize this great omission. You can read about that here.
This is about Usefulness. This is to say that you cannot live to deploy the fullness of your glory if there is no component of your impact in society. We were not created to come and fend for ourselves. We were primarily created to be solution providers to others.
This is about our ultimate fulfilment. As we keep doing life, we shall either be fulfilled at the moment or be fulfilled at the end of our time on earth. The measure of the fullness of our glory is when we have fulfilled both ways. Fulfilment is not the same as enjoyment and comfort. Jesus on the cross is a picture of fulfilment, especially when he cries out “It is finished”.
The engine of every life is unction. Unction is the earnestness of the passion or the noble spiritual force that connects us to something that matters to us. You see the earnestness in many world changers. You see lots of passion on the faces of people that are living the fullness of their glory.
There is no way you are shinning the fullness of your glory without expending your ultimate effort. I know that it has a negative connotation when Winston Churchill spoke of “Blood, sweat and tears”, but actually it’s not.
I think one of the greatest misconceptions we have in life is that work is a curse. When we have a perception that we ought to lead a “comfortable” life, for the most part, we are thinking of ridding ourselves of work.
I think one of the greatest misconceptions we have in life is that work is a curse. ~ Lawrence Namale #Purpose Share on XThat is absolutely wrong. Work is part and parcel of the human make up. Without work, our very identity is affected thoroughly. I am not necessarily talking about jobs. I am talking about work. The connotation of jobs has created something called “Joblessness”, which gives people reason not to expend effort until someone gives them a job.

Without work, our very identity is affected thoroughly. ~ Lawrence Namale #Purpose Share on XThe fullness of your glory will come to the fore when you deploy your ultimate and utmost effort at work. The blood, sweat and tears that Churchill talked about are not arbitrary. In other words, you expend yourself fully in terms of time, effort, resources and at times sacrifice for something that matters to you.
The fullness of your glory will come to the fore when you deploy your ultimate and utmost effort at work. ~ Lawrence Namale #Work #Purpose #Glory Share on XWe already discussed that each person existing is unique in such a way that they have work to do that matters to them. Once you have found that, it is going to bring the fullness of your glory to shine when you give it your best effort, your best shot and your ultimate sacrifice for it.
All through history, we see great souls who shone the fullness of their brilliance because they paid the price for their ultimate effort on what mattered to them. Even today, if you were to mention anyone who is living to the fullness of their glory, you will observe keenly that it is not devoid of their application of hard work.
We have to come at that level where we are Self Executive officers. This means that we are fully aware that work is a good thing and the world is waiting for us to shine the fullness of our glory through deploying the best of our effort at work to make things happen.
If we are seeking shortcuts though, we will do some work but there will be no shinning of the fullness of our glory with it at all![podcast src=”https://html5-player.libsyn.com/embed/episode/id/10676378/height/360/theme/standard/thumbnail/no/direction/forward/” width=”100%” height=”360″ scrolling=”no” class=”podcast-class” frameborder=”0″ placement=”bottom” use_download_link=”” download_link_text=”” primary_content_url=”http://traffic.libsyn.com/lifesignatures/65._Harnessing_the_Power_of_Being_an_Excellent_Finisher.mp3″ theme=”standard” custom_color=”” libsyn_item_id=”10676378″ /]
