7 Reasons Why Master Minding is THE Mother of All Success Secrets

Economic advantages may be created by any person who surrounds himself with the advice, counsel, and personal cooperation of a group of men who are willing to lend him wholehearted aid, in a spirit of PERFECT HARMONY. This form of cooperative alliance has been the basis of nearly every great fortune. Your understanding of this great truth may definitely determine your financial status.

n April 2017, social media platforms in Uganda were awash with something bizarre. A well known Preacher had publicly torched copies of the King James Version of the Bible. His reason? These Bibles referred to the Holy Spirit as “The Holy Ghost”, therefore according to this preacher, they were misleading. A question goes begging: Is this Preacher part of a Master Mind? Your answer is as good as mine. To appreciate more about this topic, you need to start by reading a previous post about it.

Perfect Harmony

[ictt-tweet-inline]A Master Mind is not a team of subordinates who run at your beck and call[/ictt-tweet-inline]. A Master Mind is a team of equals who have the same vote each on a matter. Napoleon Hill was wise enough to say that the Master Mind works in a spirit of perfect harmony. “Perfect Harmony” is perhaps the greatest elusive force in the history of mankind. However, where it is found, it creates greatness that borders the mysterious.

Analyze the record of any man who has accumulated a great fortune, and many of those who have accumulated modest fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously, or unconsciously employed the “Master Mind” principle.

There is no talking of Master Minding without necessarily mentioning the power there is in Mentoring. I have great mentors.

My thinking and writing was strategically altered the moment I encountered my Mentor’s Teachings. Dr. Mike Murdock continues to amaze me with his wisdom. If you check my blog from the time I started writing, you will notice that somewhere in 2013, the language, strategy and focus shifted immensely. That is the moment I had started sitting under the guidance of Dr. Mike Murdock.

My Spiritual Mastermind

When I know your heroes, I can predict your future

—Dr. Mike Murdock

We might also gain some semblance of the Master Mind through the books that we read the podcasts we listen to and the youtube videos we watch. Although I have not met and sat down with these individuals, I would tell you that they form part of my “Spiritual and Invisible” Master Mind.

  • Dr. Mike Murdock. Why? Strategy, practical wisdom, goals, purpose and direction
  • Dr. Myles Munroe: Purpose and man’s search for meaning. No one talks on this subject more than Dr.Munroe. Matter of fact, I am writing a book that Dr. Myles Munroe said he would write one day but he didn’t.
  • Dr. Chris Oyakhilome: Encountered him strongly in a dream (yep) in 2013. A man of profound intellect and knowledge and spirit of the Word of God.
  • Dr. Cindy Trimm: I never knew this woman till one day I was strongly impressed in a dream (yep again), to read a specific book she had authored. When I googled her, I was amazed that she had written a book by that very title I saw in the dream. I was also pleasantly surprised to note that a “random” name in my dream actually belonged to someone who mattered to me. She is in my spiritual mastermind because of her intense affinity to prayer, business, entrepreneurship and transformation.
  • Jentezen Franklin: Passionate about God, the family and specifically raising great children.

I have at least a book by each of these visionaries, save Dr. Cindy Trimm. However, from each of them, I have loads of videos and audios that I chew on daily.

The direction I am taking with this article though is when working with a Master Mind that you can meet and talk together. What are the advantages? What do you have to gain being part of them?

The Power of a Master Mind

  1. Gain knowledge from other people

You do not know everything. What the Master Mind brings to the table is multiplied greater than what you already know. And you get this information “for free”. American President Ronald Reagan was asked by the cheeky press (who had not given him a chance to succeed) why he was surprisingly doing so well. He said, “I staff my weaknesses”. This applies in all the areas where you can mastermind as we discussed in the previous post.

  1. Gain Resources that you did not have

Again, you do not need to have everything in place as an individual in order to attempt something great. OPM is a term used to mean “Other People’s Money”. Someone said, “I can use my head as well as many other brains that I can borrow”.

  1. Gain Connections that you need

[ictt-tweet-inline]The power of connections within a Master Mind is astounding[/ictt-tweet-inline]. You can have access to a great person in life when another one in your acquaintance opens the door for you. Dr. Mike Murdock in his teaching, “How to Invest Where it Matters the Most” recounts of how he helped connect a struggling preacher to 27 churches. Just one connection opened 27 others in one instant. That can be found in a Master Mind.

  1. Accountability

When he was building the Crystal Cathedral, Robert Schuler surrounded himself with a team of visionaries, including Peter J Daniels, the Billionaire from Australia. Daniels narrates a story of one day Robert Schuler wanted to give up, but this group held him accountable by telling him that he was the author of “Tough times Never Last”. Billy Graham will never be heard having scandals because he had a Master Mind that kept him in check.

  1. Multiplied effort increases chances of completion

Ever heard this saying, “A problem shared is a problem half-solved?” Indeed. I have experienced tremendous pressure at times with some projects. The more I secluded myself, the more depressed and distressed I became with those problems. The moment I opened up to a friend or a loved one, the pressure just lifted off and my mind was ventilated again to start thinking straight. [ictt-tweet-inline]A Master Mind unlocks quagmires and multiplies the chances and acceleration of completing a task or project[/ictt-tweet-inline]. This cannot be so if you are a lone ranger.

  1. Growth and Development

I formed a Master Mind group of writers over 2 months back. Ever since I started writing, these past two months have been the most productive, as you can see on my blog. Alone, I would not be challenged to grow. Besides, there is so much resources I have gained from the people in this group. They give resources, connections and constructive criticism to my writing. Alone, this would not be the case.

“Men take on the nature and the habits and the POWER OF THOUGHT of those with whom they associate in a spirit of sympathy and harmony.”

—Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

  1. The Master Mind Energy is available for every participant:

The human mind is a form of energy, a part of it being spiritual in nature. When the minds of two people are coordinated in a SPIRIT OF HARMONY, the spiritual units of energy of each mind form an affinity, which constitutes the “psychic” phase of the Master Mind.

—Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

The “Third, invisible force” which is the Master Mind is something that I cannot fully explain here. It is abstract. This benefit comes from the group especially if high levels of the spirit of harmony were achieved in forming and guiding the group.

My question today would be: Who wouldn’t want to harness the power of a Master Mind group?
